DELAY INSULTS 13,401 FANS ON FACEBOOK : ARE YOU POPULAR OR A CELEBRATY MADAM DELAY?
The issue of insults in the Ghanaian society has become very important
because it has become very common on radio and TV and that the situation
is so alarming and has the ability to send the country into a war
situation.(*)
First let’s ask ourselves why people, including elderly ones, will insult another person.
The dictionary defines insult as: an act or utterance that hurts a person’s feelings or causes him to feel humiliated; treat a person or thing with contempt or scorn.
The dictionary defines insult as: an act or utterance that hurts a person’s feelings or causes him to feel humiliated; treat a person or thing with contempt or scorn.
After much talked about interview, which generated massive concern from think tanks in the world, one thought it was going be a lesson.
The question I ask is, is it a must to be know by all as a celebrate or "star..." ?
Tv and Radio channels in Ghana one will agree that its in abundance now. Listeners and viewers determine what to watch and What to listen to.So what crime is it if you are asked a question of such nature.
A feed was picked on the 26/8/2012 @ about 5pm,

PURE LOCAL ACTOR (KUMASI ACTOR) DUPES A MOVIE DIRECTOR, AND PRODUCER.
A kumasi based actor, and A well known face in the most popular tagged, "KUMASI FILM OR PURE LOCAY' BY NAME Omono Asamoah Akwess a.k.a Big Akwess, decides to do an unfinished JOB after been paid more than half of his money.
Big Akwess as he is popularly called in the early days of August had a contract with a movie production House (name withheld) to act in an epic Ghanaian slavery story, which he failed to honor his promise and left the location without rapping up from set.
Big Akwess sources close to him say is believed to have complete GALLYWOOD FILM ACADEMY , with that sense of professionalism the least expected from him was to live set while production is in progress.
Showbiz Web Magazine learned that, he had collected money from other directors in the name of acting for them and both production unfortunately was taking place in the same week. while the other is at Bonwire in the Ashanti region the other was also located at Antoa both in Ashanti region.
He played the John Mensah role, by going forth and back, thus living the sets to the other in his car respectively to act his scenes.
On completing a day scenes, he promised to return back, that he is going to court to attend a case the next morning. A source close the man in question disclosed to Us that he is not at the court rather, on another director's production named Isaiah , director for Unity film production. He refused to appear on said date during the next day which he promised that he will be on set. Till the third day, he came at a late hour and insisted that the director (name withheld) should shoot his scenes for him, which he the director was on the verge of shooting other scenes, crew members were pissed of his behavior (shouting at the director).
One of the crew members also shouted back, that if he "can't wait till they finish the scene he can go". The question one will ask is, where is he in a hurry to,? To the other directors set located at Bonwire in the Ashanti Region.
Attempt to reach the Director and Producer proves futile, but THINK AHEAD STUDIOS, can boldly say, the remaining scene of BIG AKWESS is still hanging. A source close to director say's, " well, when all is set and done, we will be going back to shoot the others scenes, but you know, is another cost, paying those he acted with, and other extras, some came as long as from Sogakofe, all of them would have to come".
The actors attitude bring into rememberance the habit of some actors who have brand themselves as "STARS", that when they are not there, no one can play their role for them or as them. Oflate directors have also been bashing Actors for charging soo much for part one and two movies, which also when they come to set, they expect that you shoot their scence for them to live.
Meanwhile, this actor upon low budget on that production, when some Co-Actors were asked to sleep with him in a hotel (name withheld at Antoa) he objected, that some one ever tried a spell on him when he was on a different production.so he preferred sleeping alone, which sources say he did not sleep alone but with a woman he went to set with, without the director's knowledge.
He will be remembered Mostly in the occult and fetish roles of "Kumasi Films" a.k.a Pure Local. Some Source say's Actors who were on set and stayed till end of production (RAP UP) Includes, Ras Kwamena, Ras Quame, EFFOH, FELIX JACKSON, FIIFI and OTHER GALLYWOOD ACTORS etc...
Well, most of the blame sometimes must be given to these director, because while the minor role actors are been paid less others are not paid at all, but they stay and help production before rapping up, those who are given huge sums of money, come at their best of time which suits them.
WE URGE ACTORS AND ACTRESS TO BE PROUD OF THE PROFFESSION AND WORK ACCORDING TO THE RULES OF THE GAME. JOB WELL DONE DESERVE GOOD PAY and respectable FANS .
At the time of going to press, BIG AKWESS, had not return to shoot his remaining scenes, since he did not turn up, production had to be caleed off because it was planned and bugdeted to a setting date. showbiz watch magazine Investigative team are on the ground monitoring if the remaining scenes will be shot before the movie comes out.........................STAY TUNED.

PRINCE HARRY ADMITS TO KILLING A HOOKER IN LAS VEGAS
SHOWBIZ WATCH MAGAZINE has learned that the recently-leaked naked photos of Prince Harry were actually just a decoy.
The pics
were used to divert attention from the fact that the 27-year old took
the life of a Las Vegas prostitute after having too much to drink last
weekend.
In what some are calling a “black mark” against the British monarchy,
the Prince of Wales admitted to rolling the body up in a rug before
dumping it in the Bellagio Fountain on Sunday.
“Unfortunately, this is a real-life case of ‘What happens in Vegas,
stays in Vegas’,” said Nevada Police Commissioner Reuben Jenkins. “We
wish we could arrest him, but as a member of the Royal Family he’s
technically allowed to do whatever he wants.”
Prince Harry is the younger son of The Prince of Wales and the late
Diana, Princess of Wales. He is third in line to the British Throne.

TOP KUMASI DJ ISSUES FAKE CHEQUE TO HIS BABE MAMA...
The baby mama of ace DJ Robert Atta Afriyie (DJ Fish) of Angel FM,
Kumasi, has openly come out to complain about how the DJ takes care of
their kid.The lady,Juliet Antwi has expressed her dissatisfaction
towards how the DJ handles issues related to the kid.
She claims the DJ presented a ‘fake’ cheque during the child’s naming
ceremony last two years and only buys dress for the kid on Christmas.
"He named his son with a fake cheque, the only cloth he gave to his son is the one we used for the naming ceremony and two other Christmas dress. He is very wicked and stupid for what he is doing to his own son,it really hurts me with no pepper and it is the very reason why I will not allow any ‘dick’ to enter my ‘pussy’ again.I also hate the fact that he took his stupid girlfriend to see my son without my knowledge"
She further explained that he gives them 40cedi a month,an amount she finds to be insulting and unfair.
OMGghana.com got in touch with DJ Fish who accepted the fact that he
is the father of the baby but explain that he "believes parenting is a
two-way thing and should not be solely" his duty.He accepted that the
amount he gives to the kid is relatively not much but he reiterated that
"the lady is supposed to help in every way possible".
Touching on how often he sees the kid,he said the "lady’s father has
warned me never to step foot in the house".A decision he couldnt explain
further as to what caused it.
"I cannot say much, her father doesnt want me in the house. Its pointless to go there and be treated badly.I love my kid but i believe its the responsibilty of the both of us to take care of him".
DJ Fish explained.
Right now,the two-year old kid is in school with the help of the
mother’s parent and the family is really finding it difficult seeing him
through school.

MEIWAY, OTHERS TO HONOR AMAKYE DEDE.
Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Daniel Amakye Dede has been chosen as the celebrant of the 2012 'Legends & Legacy Ball' slated for September 15, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The concert would see several Ghanaian musicians and Ivorian superstar Freddy Meiway perform several of Amakye Dede's hit songs from a career that has spanned across four decades and spawned 28 albums.
This was made known at a press launch held at the Erata Hotel in Accra and was attended by Mike Gizo, former Minister of State, satirist KSM, ACP Kofi Boakye, Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) President, Bice Osei Kuffour, Tic Tac, Daasebre Gwamena, Steve Bedi, Charles Amoah, Kwabena Kwabena, Ben Brako and others.
Legends and Legacy Ball, which sought to celebrate the musical achievements and legacies of legends would see musicians such as Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Becca, Eazzy, Kwabena Kwabena, Daasebre Gwamena and sexaphonist, Steve Bedi perform songs by Amakye Dede.
The last performance of the night would be by the legend himself, who would perform a couple of his songs.
Amakye Dede promised patrons of an exciting show on September 15.
The maiden edition of the Legends and Legacy Ball, which celebrated Daddy Lumba, was largely hailed for bringing together the two former Presidents of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kuffour.
Amakye Dede began his musical journey in 1973, when he joined Royals Kumapim owned by Akwasi Ampofo Agyei of blessed memory live band, as a composer and a vocalist.
He travelled to Nigeria to seek greener pastures and was blessed with the hit song 'Jealousy Go Shame' .
Amakye later formed his own live band, Apollo High Kings in 1980 and has since conquered the genre with over 20 albums.
Unlike Daddy Lumba who was celebrated, Amakye currently dominated the highlife music in Ghana with staggering stage craft.
His energy on stage has earned him as one of the greatest performers of our time.
For most Ghanaians, celebrating his achievements in the music fraternity has been long overdue.

GOSPEL MUSICIANS USE JUJU - HANNAH MARFO..
At a time when most people are complaining about falling standards in the gospel music industry, sorcery, commonly referred to as 'juju' is rumored to be used by some gospel artistes for career successes.
According to available reports in the industry, this 'juju' is used to 'kill' the growing career of 'competitors' who serve as threats in the industry.
This issue, which received condemnation in the past, gained prominence again when gospel icon, Hannah Marfo confirmed it in an interview she granted in Accra last Sunday.
Speaking on the challenges she had encountered as a gospel artiste in the industry, Hannah lamented on how she virtually had to give up on her musical career because of the numerous problems she encountered on a daily basis.
According to the 'Gye Gye Me' hit maker, after the release of her hit single 'Akristofo Adooso', which pushed her to prominence in the gospel industry, she could not explain the numerous problems that besieged her on a daily basis.
She noted that it was in these trying times that a Prophetess, at whose church she had gone to perform, revealed to her that two female musicians had used other evil mediums including sorcery in an attempt to collapse her career, hence her constant struggle to make any meaningful impact in the industry.
Hannah went further to disclose that even though she rubbished those revelations by the Prophetess because she didn't want to believe that as Christians preaching the word of God through music, some could resort to the use of sorcery to be successful, which is even against the religious beliefs, doctrines and practices of Christians.
'But seven years after that the revelation by the Prophetess, I also had a dream where God revealed to me how these two female artistes that the prophetess told me about seven years ago were undermining my progress in the industry. I immediately called the prophetess and informed her about my own revelation and she encouraged me to be more prayerful and depend on God to deliver me from all the challenges I was encountering in my career,' she told Kwabena Idan, the host of 'After Church' on Adom FM.
She said even after this revelation, she was still not convinced till one gospel artiste, Cecy Twum, whose husband happens to be a Pastor, also confirmed it to her.
She was however quick to add that she didn't bear any grudge against these artistes since she had always been prayerful and knew that God had the ultimate answer to her problems.
'At a point in time, I gave up on my musical career because I couldn't stand all the numerous challenges; but God used my kid sister to encourage me. I remember she once told me that I am not working for man but for God so I shouldn't let anyone hinder my talent. These words have always been my guide anytime I want to give up'.
After several attempts from the host to make Hannah mention the names of the said female artistes to which she vehemently denied, she remarked, 'It is not necessary because I put my trust in God and I also pray a lot'.
This confirmation by Hannah Marfo on the use of 'juju' in the industry received widespread condemnation when it made the headlines sometime ago.
But he question on the lips of many Ghanaians is: why would Gospel musicians use sorcery in their career? Are they in the industry for business or to proclaim the work of God, as most of them make us believe?

GIAMA AWARDS ANNOUNCE NOMINEES
Finally, the list for the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards is
out. Notable films from South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and a
host of others outside the Africa continent (Diaspora) have been
nominated.
According to the GIAMA Awards committee, surfing through the enormous amount of movies that were submitted for screening, most especially those that were produced in the Diaspora was quite challenging to watch. However, few of the movies stood out and are worthy to be applauded and rewarded. Some of these movies include Bianca, Secret Past,
The Mechanic 'Who is the Man?' Paparazzi, Black Money among others making it's a clear indication that movies produced in the Diaspora, especially in the United States, continue to improve over time.
